Planet Streetpainting (formerly Streetpainting.nl) is a creative commons
that develops, offers and produces a variety of streetpainting concepts.
It also hosts an increasing group of outstanding international streetpainters.
They all love streetpainting and like to create unique (con)temporary
art that speaks to the human imagination. Planet Streetpainting is founded
by Peter Westerink in 2003. During
a suprise visit to the Youth in Arts festival in San Rafael, California
in 2001, he immediately fell in love with this unique art form. He decided
to take it to the streets of his homeland Holland. Having a business but
no artistic background, he started organizing small events, paid out of
pocket, and travelled to streetpainting events in Europe. He connected
with experienced streetpainters there and on the web. And started to work
with them. After a while Peter too started to streetpaint, inevitably.
Since then he's putting his passion, organizing talents as well as his
artistic and network skills to very good use. |
