Media are an important aspect of streetpainting. Because streetpainting is a very media-sensitive activity. It just looks good on pictures, dvd's, in magazines or newspapers, on tv and the web. The web made 3D artist Julian Beever world famous. And rightfully so. Via the media people get their daily portion of information, and also share their stories with oneanother. And as we all know, a picture paints a thousand words. It gives the spectator an experience, one that needs to be shared with others. The more powerful the image, the greater the impact and the quicker and bigger the buzz. And the more people get to know about it. The media really replicate, multiply and distribute our stories. Which helps us to built an nice archive. We make art that does not last, remember? So we collect newspaper clippings, hyperlinks and youtube movies etc. And put our own pics online. Nothing is forever, but can't hurt to save a bit here and there for your viewing pleasure (and ours).
