Creating
streetpaintings in one day. That is in fact what we usually do. How big
a streetpainting depends on how much time we´re given as well as on the
design and ofcourse the budget. Sometimes we also need to take the surface
we´re working on into account. But as a rule of thumb, it takes us one
working day to create a chalk piece of approx. 4-6m2. First we have to
measure and plot out the size of the painting. Then we start sketching
and after that, the actual work begins. For practical reasons we work
in pairs. That way we can assist eachother when we set-up our drawings(s)
and cover more ground, thus making a bigger painting. With regard to the
choice of imagery, there are no restrictions upfront, other than the fact
that we do not want to offend anyone with our artwork, or make political
statements etc. We want to create beauty not discussion. |
